OFFERINGS
Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy is a therapeutic process where we will explore your concerns, set goals, and work together to achieve a higher level of functioning to allow you to truly thrive. I offer individual psychotherapy and psychotherapy for relationship systems including couples, triads, polyamorous relationships, etc.
We will work together to help you identify and develop healthier, more effective strategies and habits. Psychotherapy is an ongoing process, grounded in dialogue and our dynamic together, that provides a supportive environment that allows you to talk openly with someone who is objective, neutral, and nonjudgmental.
I work with you to create a safe container for you to be authentically you! Our work together will help you reconnect with your authentic self and by using this profound internal strength, you will learn and develop new skills and ways of thinking so that you can better cope with whatever challenges may arise. Chris is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC-D) practicing Psychotherapy in New York.
Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy
Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy is rapidly becoming a game-changer for clients struggling with various mental health concerns and others looking to expand their perception and see the world through a powerful, transformative new lens.
Psychedelic-assisted therapy uses psychedelic medicines as a catalyst for profound healing, insight, growth, and self-awareness. The medicines used in psychedelic-assisted therapy have been studied and show incredibly promising potential for the removal of key barriers in the treatment of various mental health conditions and emotional struggles.
We are truly in the midst of a psychedelic renaissance. I am a Certified Psychedelic Assisted Therapy Provider (CPAT) and Fellow through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute. I completed a full year of both classroom based and practical training in psychedelic assisted therapy and psychedelic integration. I offer psychedelic assisted psychotherapy and psychedelic integration support for clients engaged in psychedelic medicine use on their own with support from their healthcare provider(s).
Our work together allows for your physical and emotional safety and enables the space for the processing of your experiences. Through my practice, I offer a therapeutic modality called Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP): the use of ketamine to complement and enhance psychotherapy. I deliver KAP in my practice in partnership with several specialized medical teams that determines eligibility for KAP, prescribe the medicine, and supports both you and me in monitoring progress.
If interested, contact me to discuss eligibility & next steps. In addition to Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy, I also support clients on their own journeys and offer support and integration work allowing them to transform these life-changing experiences into sustained period of growth and personal development.
As a therapist and integration guide, I do not prescribe, distribute, or administer any psychedelic medications. Further, I do not endorse the use of any illegal substances or medications. Depending on where you live, options for and access to psychedelic medications will vary. Please reach out and we can talk about your journey and see how I can help.
Group Therapy
Group therapy is a powerful way to learn about ourselves and our relationships with others. I offer group therapy which generally consists of a group of 6-8 people who meet weekly to work through issues and concerns together. We experience life in relation to other people and group therapy can offer profound opportunities for connection and healing through relationship with other.
We are not currently running any therapy groups, but when we do, we will list those here. If you are interested in potentially joining a group, please complete the contact us form so we can add you to our list.
Personal Coaching
Coaching can help you achieve personal or professional goals through non-clinical approaches that focus on personal empowerment, motivation, and strategies to define and reach your goals and dreams. A major difference between psychotherapy and coaching is the focus of the work: psychotherapy is clinical in nature and focuses on mental health and emotional wellbeing, while coaching tends to focus on setting and achieving specific goals.
Coaching can help with getting “unstuck”, realizing your full potential, and working towards specific personal / professional goals.
Here are some examples of when coaching may be beneficial:
- You want to set goals you will achieve with someone who will motivate and inspire you, while also holding you accountable.
- You want to advance your career.
- You want to challenge yourself and break out of your comfort zone.
- You are struggling with career decisions or major life choices and would like guidance and support as you develop and execute a plan that will best serve you.
- You want to connect to your inner motivation for a major life goal.
- You want to hold yourself more accountable, whether in your personal or professional life.
Together we discover your passions and stratege an achievable path to achieving them while building the positive mindset that will empower you to achieve your dreams.
Typical coaching sessions may include:
- Identifying your life vision
- Reviewing your goals and regular progress
- Exploring work and assignments from our previous session(s)
- Setting goals for our next session(s)
It's never too late to do something for yourself!
